Fixing Chipped tooth precautions

Hello,

firstly, forgive me in advance for some misuse of terms since I'm not entirely sure which procedures would be best for me and such. Or if I'm even using the terms correctly. So here it goes.

Have abandoned my teeth for quite sometime yet plan to begin seeing a dentist soon. I'm certain I might need one or two extracted, some fillings and eventually realignment in the way of braces/invisalign or something since I've felt and can see how my top and bottom row of teeth have begun to buckle a bit over the past year or so.

But here's the main question. Despite all of the above, I have one tooth on top which is chipped perhaps a third or quarter. 'and I'm dying to get it fixed.
Can I still 'Safely' have something done in the way of a 'bonded resin restoration' or anything along those lines 'Prior' to getting any other work done?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or direction. :)
