Wisdom teeth extraction mid 30s

I have wisdom teeth to be extracted soon. I hadn’t had problems recently when my bottom right got infected.

Can anyone look at my xray and give me an estimate on how difficult this extraction might be? He plans to remove all 4. I’m concerned about recovery being older. Should I request only removing 2? Should I go with IV sedation or only NO?

Based on the x-ray, the extractions look straight forward. I would not be too concerned. I would remove all 4, since the lower left can also cause some pericoronitis at a later stage.
In terms of sedation, it depends on your anxiety level.
It seems like this is your first extraction as an adult, so if you are very anxious, go for the IV sedation.

thank you so much for your quick reply!

Do you expect there to be any nerve damage since my roots are fully formed?

Does the IV sedation make people nauseous? Should I request some form of medicine to prevent that?

Also, currently there is some remaining infection in my bottom right. I have taken a round of an antibiotics but there is still some pus when I open my mouth and press on the gums surrounding that wisdom tooth or yawn. The surgeon didn’t say anything about needing another round of antibiotics. Is that normal? Will the healing process take longer or be more painful or risky since I have an active infection? Should I expect 2 weeks since I’m older? Just trying to plan for work and childcare.

Thank you again for your response. I appreciate it!

I don't expect there to be any nerve damage, although this is still a risk, because it largely depends on how the extraction goes.
The IV sedation can make some people nauseous, so you can ask the doctor that administers the IV, for some medication to combat this.
Once the cause of the infection is removed, the pus should drain and clear up by itself. The surgeon might prescribe some additional antibiotics after the extractions are done.
In terms of healing, I would expect around 5-7 days, whereafter you can go back to work. You might just need to take some analgesics along.
