Veneer doesnt match real tooth color

I’ve had veneers for about 4 years on both of my lateral incisiors due to being born with peg laterals. I’ve had regrets about getting veneers considering the dentist convinced me to get them at 18 and I wasn’t really sure what they were. I’ve had pain on my right one for about a year now when I bite down on it. So I went to my dentist and had to ask him to check my bite for me. He ended up polishing it down some but after that I started having a lot of TMJ symptoms. But my main concern is that both my veneers don’t match the color of my real teeth anymore. It isn’t to noticeable in real life but in pictures you can tell espically with a back flash. I’m not sure if this means I should get them redone or not. I want to try and not have them redone as much as I can to try and preserve as much tooth structure as I can considering they were already really small and had to be prepped for veneers.

It sounds like you might have a grinding issue that is unrelated to the veneers. I would maybe just consider getting a bite plate made for that.
The colour of the veneers seem a tiny bit off though. Unfortunately veneers always stay the same colour, while the normal teeth surrounding them, can change colour. The only way to match the surrounding teeth, would be to re-do the veneers. They can be removed only and it is not necessary to prep the teeth before doing the new veneers, so you can still keep the same amount of tooth structure.
In general, it does not look too bad to me, to be honest.

Thank you for your reply. I do have a clear mouth guard I wear at night to help with grinding and during the day to try and help that pain. I also experience lots of clicking in my jaw on that right side so I have been trying to relax my jaw more to help those symptoms. As for the color, I can live with it. I just tend to be a perfectionist. The assistant who works for the dentist who placed my veneers had told me more tooth structure would have to be removed each time I get veneers redone.

This is not to say. If the dentist removes the veneers carefully, no additional tooth structure needs to be removed. The tooth surface, might only need to be roughened a bit.
As for the clicking in the jaw, it might also be indicated that you try out some muscle-relaxants, that will help to relax all the muscles of mastication, and this you only have to take at night.
