Tooth implant vs other options at age 70 with other ailments

My father has broken molars (that need to be extracted) and few front teeth missing. He is 70 and has had open heart surgery 7 years back has diabetes and cholesterol.

Are implants recommended or alternative options like bridges (cantilever)?
Also, he takes 150mg aspirin daily, does that need to be stopped for extraction?

Consult with your medical doctor regarding the medication he uses, but most likely he will need to stop the medication a few days prior to the extraction.
In terms of alternative options-it depends.
It can include partial dentures as well, which might be more suitable, especially if he needs other teeth to be extracted in the future.
Can give a more detailed opinion if you had an x-ray to share.

Thank you Dr M. We got multiple xrays but the hospitals do not share the xray with the patient. 8-10 teeth needs treatment including molars.

One of the doctors recommended implants and other said implants are not needed at this age, that is why we are confused.

As for the partial denture, the patient may not be able to clean the it and take everyday care on his own but it is an option.

Implants also need constant cleaning and maintenance, just as normal teeth would and is a lot more expensive compared to a partial denture. Multiple implants could be an issue for someone at an advanced age.
Why do they not share the x-rays? Surely you can request this. This is part of the patient's medical records.
