Throbbing socket

Here is the thing, I had a molar pulled this past Summer and then not long after, they wanted me to get fillings... well, someone had the idea to stick me in that socket with the numbing needle and now the socket has been feeling pain ever since. I tried going to the dentist like a month after the pain ceased to stop and that proved pointless, this nerve med they gave me (don't remember precisely what it is was now) did not do anything.

It's been months and the pain is starting to gradually increase again, any advice? I know it's not dry socket.
