These are my temporaries. I really preferred the wax mock up after the doctor drew a line on the teeth with a black Sharpie marker to show how we could make it look.

I feel the temporaries are bulky and protruding forward and outward. The wax mock up looked flatter and straighter. My doctor is kind of pressuring me to do the permanents like the temporaries. How can we make this better? How can I communicate this and come to a reasonable compromise if I need to?

It does look a bit bulky. Ask the dentist to change the look. This is the whole point of also having temporary crowns made, so that you can change the appearance if you are not happy.
Don't be pressured into something you don't want.
Once the permanent crowns are made, they can't be changed. Do the changes now.
