Terrible pain

Please help me.a week ago I had 3 teeth extracted.i developed a dry socket in one.terrible pain.went back to dentist yesterday who cleaned socket and encouraged new clot to form.the pain after was something I have never experienced totally debilitating.just horrendous.im taking codine.paracetomol and ibuprofen and and am now waiting for call back from dentist.please what can I do.im never been at my wits end like this.ever.please help

How did he clean the socket? Did he scrape it clean and rinse it with saline? Although it is not always indicated, in certain cases antibiotics is indicated as well.

Yes.it was cleaned I was back this morning and now antibiotics..I can honestly say I have never experienced pain like this.
