Shadowing on composite veneers

Hi,
I had composite veneers fitted on my upper centre 6 teeth about 5 years ago. I’ve noticed recently that as the day goes on, they have a shadow effect on them which is very distracting and worrying. The mark goes away once I brush my teeth but keeps coming back.
I went to my dentist last week and they said the veneers were still sealed fine but recommended the hygienist for a clean and polish. I’ve now had a hygienist appointment for a clean and polish and unfortunately the shadow still appears throughout the day.
I’m looking for advice given the dentist said there was no issues with the veneers or my brushing method so hoping someone may have some experience they can share to help me decide next steps.

If you’ve changed any products recently, consider reverting back to what you were previously using or consult with your dentist for recommendations on suitable products for maintaining composite veneers.
The appearance of shadows may also be influenced by moisture levels in your mouth throughout the day. Saliva can interact differently with dental materials depending on hydration levels and diet.
Given that brushing alleviates the shadow temporarily but it returns later in the day suggests that it is likely related to surface staining or minor wear rather than structural failure of the veneers themselves. Maintaining best oral hygiene practices while consulting with dental professionals about possible treatments will be essential moving forward.
