Rough/sandpaper feeling inside lower & upper lip where my teeth rest on my inner lip

So, I have had a rough/grainy feeling on the inside of my lower and upper lip for months now. I don’t think I have dry mouth as the other areas in my mouth feel normal. Also, I only feel it on areas where the front of my teeth rest on my inner lip, so on my bottom inner lip there is a large rough feeling where my bottom teeth sit. And on my upper inner lip it’s a thinner line of roughness where my top teeth rest on my inner lip. Any thoughts as to what this could be??

Could be a layer of plaque or calculus. Consider seeing your dentist/oral hygienist for a check up and cleaning.
