Root Canal Material and MRI

Hello everyone, I am new to here. May I ask some of your advice?

I'll need to have a root canal treatment followed by a crown. On the other hand, due to my
thyroid problem, I'll need to do a head MRI at some point later. In order to avoid possible
blurry images from any metal materials in head that could interfere the MRI images, I
have the following questions.

(1) for the root canal treatment, can I ask the doctor to do metal free filling and can I also
request quartz fiber post to be used?

(2) for crown, can I request zirconia all-ceramic crown to be used?

I wonder if these materials are commonly used here. And can they be applied to
Tooth No. 15: the upper left molar?

Thank you very much for your advice!

Hi.

I've had 4 root canal treatments in the past and they've all be done with a white filling called composite. As far as I know this doesn't contain metal materials. You can search for 'composite filling' online and it should say.

I'm not familiar with what materials they use for posts. I'd ask your dentist and see what they recommend.

I believe it is possible to get an all ceramic crown placed. It may depend on your area and how much you want to spend. My crown is all ceramic.

Good luck with everything.
