Hi,
My 2 almost 3 year old fell and knocked his front tooth out (traumatising moment)
We took him to the dentist who informed us it was clean out and he wouldn't get his permanent tooth until he was around 6 years old.
2 weeks later I noticed his gum was white where the tooth was and when I felt it there was something there. It's now around 3 months later, he's 3 now and he has another tooth half way through.
Now the thing is our dentist doesn't know what's going on, she says it shouldn't be a permanent tooth at this age and she thinks it could possibly be another baby tooth, but she says both are rare and she doesn't know. Can anyone shed any light on this? Is there anyway to find out if this is his permanent tooth? Would X-rays show this?
Thanks for reading
