Not sure next steps?

My dentist told me i needed a gum graft on small area at base of tooth.
So I consulted with a periodontist which cost a quite a bit for a 45 min cons in which they they took x-rays.
After taking x-rays they created a treatment plan which was to have a deep hygenie before returning to them for a review - the thing is in the consultation they didn't say anything about the graft even though my dentist says i need one and just said i have to have a clean then go back tot hem for a review. This cost me over £200.
So i had the hygiene which again cost quite a bit and I am to go back for the perio to review my teeth.
I do not have gum disease - i have one area on one tooth where the gun has receded a little.
What i am concerned about is how many times I have to go back and forth to have review(s) before the perio actually does any work on the tooth. Not sure what to do?
I have good teeth and no disease but my dentist has said i need a graft on that one area, and the specialist has said nothing about it - just sent me for a deep clean!
Should I not go back to this perio as I would say they have not provided diagnosis at initial consultation and go for a second opinion?
Thank you!

Thank you Akshi - the perio did not give me any of the xray pics he took. Happy to post a picture of the area here - think a second opinion is wise but again, it costs, like all these consultations. I just feel I am paying for them to have a look and a chat but actually not give a prognosis.
