No place for adult canines to come out for my child

Hello everyone,

I need an honest opinion regarding my son's dental situation. His dentist says that his lower jaw is a narrow and his canines aren't coming out due to no space for them to come out. She suggested we remove a couple of his adult teeth to make some space for the canines. Is this considered normal? I mean removing adult teeth? It's going to be something permanent and I am quite anxious about it. Is there any other way to fix it?

I would not remove any permanent teeth without consulting an orthodontist first. Ask for a referral for an orthodontist and get a specialized opinion first.
