Molar on one side of mouth higher than one across from it

I bit down the other day and realized that the left side of my teeth make slightly more contact than the right. I thought I was just going crazy but upon further inspection, I realized that the second to last molar on the left side is slightly higher (maybe about 1 mm) than the second to last molar on my right side

I’ve had my braces off for years and have never noticed this so I have no clue why I noticed this now.

I looked at my retainers and it seems like the left side molar just sits higher up in my gums, which is why it sticks up more.

I have no problem eating but now that I’m conscious of it I’m worried it will drive me nuts. Is this something that’s normal or should I get it looked at?
