I’ve had this lump on the side of my tongue for a few months. It doesn’t hurt, and it doesn’t appear to be getting any bigger or smaller. Should I be concerned?
It might be an area of fibrous hyperplasia due to either a sharp filling adjacent to that area on the tongue or due to accidental trauma to the area. It is a good thing that it is not enlarging and also not ulcerated. During your next check-up, mention this lesion to the dentist. If no change in appearance, only regular follow-up is indicated.
