Lab fees $450/teeth- too high? for full cast high noble metal

Hello- I have upcomimg appointment with dentist for full cast high noble metal in a few days. I have teeth grinding habit so my two Lower right molars are worn out and needs restoration with gold crown because it has good durability. Dentist is asking for $450/teeth for lab fees- explanation for high cost was because of high gold prices lately. It seems high too me- any thoughts?? I am in Raleigh, NC area.
