Is one big bridge better than 2, side by side

Hi! First post, and I’m trying to figure out the best protocol for my elderly mother. She has a bridge in upper right, teeth #2-4. She has had no issue with it, but now she needs another bridge for teeth #5-7. The dentist is saying it’s best to remove the old bridge (2-4) and do one big bridge covering all of the teeth 2-7. They say it’s better to do it as one big bridge, as 2 separate bridges, side by side, could present more problems on down the road. Just looking for any input. Of course we want what’s best for her, but financially, it’s a big investment. Thank you for any input!

It depends on a lot of factors. How many anchor teeth will there be for such a long span bridge and what is the condition of those anchor teeth?
Do you perhaps have an x-ray you could share? This would be a lot of help.
