Hole in temporary crown?

Yesterday I had a temporary crown put on a root canal tooth, I noticed last night there is a tiny hole the size of a pinhead where the post is located, I can see the top of the post inside the hole (it is slightly below the surface). Is this OK for two weeks until the permanent crown or should I contact my dentist? I don't have a picture right now but I will post one at a later time.

I saw on another thread that having a hole in temporary crown means the dentist misjudged its thickness and this could therefore also be the case with the permanent crown. Is that true? If so how do I make sure the dentist checks the permanent crown correctly?

You will need to make sure the permanent crown does not feel high when biting down, before it is cemented permanently. Also mention your concerns to your dentist. If the crown breaks within a certain time period, I usually replace it free of charge, after making adjustments to the prep. This, however, should not usually be the case.
