It’s been about 3 days, I’m becoming concerned.. does this look like a canker sore or possibly something more serious? It’s very painful!!! No fever or other symptoms.
has anyone had something similar?

That is called apthous stomatitis. It's an autoimmune response will go away in about 7 to 10 days. If you get frequent painful sores, have your dentist prescribe you Kenalog in Orabase. It is most effective if you apply it on the first day you notice.
