High Bite After Post and Core

I had a post and core done a week ago on a tooth that finished RCT the week before that. It went well and I had no pain during the procedure without any numbing. Yesterday while I was at my endodontist finishing up another RCT I told him I was having discomfort on the core side. He checked and said it was a "high bite" and adjusted it down. How long should that take to settle down- I still have discomfort today.

The post and core are high? Normally they are not exposed but are covered by a temp crown. Unless you mean a wrought post and amalgam/composite core. I'd have to see an Xray. It's unlikely to be an issue.
