Hi everyone,
I’m a 29-year-old from Kenya, and I finally have the opportunity to fix my teeth (photo attached).
While I’m excited about the possibility of improving my smile, I’ve come across some concerning stories about braces negatively affecting people’s bites—making them narrower and even impacting their breathing.
I want to ensure that the treatment I pursue results not only in a better-looking smile but also in a functional, healthy bite.
What should I know before starting this journey? Are there specific questions I should ask my orthodontist to make sure my treatment plan addresses both aesthetics and overall oral health?
Thanks in advance for your advice and insights!
Also, I am in Kenya now, do you think I should wait until going to the US to do the treatment?
