Front tooth implant dropped out

Hello. I have a front tooth attached to a metal thread that has fallen out after 20 years. A dentist tried to pop it back in today but was not successful as there seemed to be a blockage. Any advice ?

Hello. Thank you for your reply. I Don't have any xrays sorry. Try to upload a picture of the tooth on a metal post. Bit lost as to what can be done to be honest. Wonder if a false tooth might be the answer.
