Due to a failed partial denture proces with previous doctor i left, my lower teeth are damaged. He shaved the tops of them down and left sharp upper spots. I returned a few times prior to leaving this office to get those spots smoothened, he finished off with a polishing on the teeth that left them badly scratched. I decided never to return after I got refunded. I went back to an old doctor and he polished and removed the scratches, but now there are other issues. The enamel on the teeth is definitely damaged. Uneven surfaces, high edges, slightly sharp gaps in-between the teeth where my tongue catches, rough/thin edges, a tooth is longer than the rest, one is thicker and the surface is too overly soft. The texture on that tooth changes when my mouth dries and i eat during the day. The edge of that tooth, my tongue catches. I realized polishing wasnt going to better anything so I cancelled next apt with my old doctor. (Not the one that messed up my teeth)Hes willing to make my new partials and I trust him because he made my old partial that lasted me 14 yrs. I decided to reach out to a new doctor, one of the best to get these lower teeth feeling better. I realized theres a complete disbalance in these teeth and the middle part where 2 crooked teeth meet is rough and thin,.my tongue is constantly aware of this point. I have been resorting to putting wax inbetween each tooth. So the all lower teeth and one canine were affected. From what ive researched, looks like this polishing removed the scratches but brought other problems. Its about putting back in, not taking more out. Im certain bonding will remedy all of this. Some spots might. Need to be brought down, but definitely bonding. Im hoping this new doctor can sort this out. I cant proceed to making the dentures until my lower teeth feel better. Ive gotten so hopeless that i even consider going to affordable and taking my teeth out. I only have 5 upper teeth and more lower teeth, but theyre all damaged.HELP! 😢🙏😢
