Earache/fever after re-filling

Hi there

I went to the dentist 2.5 weeks ago as I had upper molar pain when biting down. Dentist took old filling out, did some drilling on what she described as 'looks like decay', then put new filling in.
Since then I started getting stabbing headaches on tooth side which then turned into earache (no discharge). Teeth very sensitive to hot/cold. Went to dentist again, she took an xray, all looked good. Then went to doctor who gave me eardrops as my ear canal looked very red.

After a few days of eardrops the pain seem to have lessened slightly but Iam still exhaused with possible fever.

Is this normal? Should I be worried? Any thoughts on what next step might be?

Many thanks

Can you get a copy of the Xray for this tooth - before and after? Ask for JPG and post it up here.
The pain is most likely related to the new filling, and it may be that the pain subsiding after the eardrops is just co-incidence; maybe the tooth was settling anyway.

Many thanks for reply. Appreciated.
I've attached 'before and after' xrays.

Still feel slight head pressure but earache is better, only slightly sensitive.
The other symptom I have now is fatigue. One day I feel o.k, the next day I can't do anything but sleep.

Could I be allergic to amalgam or is that a myth?

The filling is quite deep. Would it be worth getting a white filling instead?

I've considered the possibility that I got some kind of viral infection but since I haven't had any cold it seems a bit odd.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
