I had a tooth extraction, packed and stitched on weds. The past few days I've noticed this jelly type sac protruding from my socket. It's a grey/green colour. I rinse with salt water, I have a mouthwash prescribed by the dentist and I'm taking amoxin500mg 3 times a day. I'm a bit concerned as due to fly on 8th augist

Good day

When a tooth socket heals, if forms granulation tissue, that can appear yellow in colour, and then it gradually turns pink as healing progresses. If the area is painful after 3-5 days, it can also be an indication of a dry socket, which will have to be cleaned out by a dentist.
If the area is not painful, just follow the post-op information given to you by your dentist, and observe the area.

Hope this helps.
