Do we need extraction?

My 6 year old was recommended to extract 2 lateral incisors baby teeth so permanent central incisors in the back come forward. Here is photo, what do you think? Is it necessary?

Although this can be done, I usually check how far the permanent lateral incisors are from erupting. If there is a general space deficiency, it won't matter, since the front teeth will be crowded regardless.
