Do my veneers look unnatural?

I went to the dentist to get my gap closed between my two front teeth by composite bonding (had bonding done previously but it had worn away) and got talked into having veneers done instead. Now I have them I hate how they look and feel like it’s one of the worst things I’ve ever done, I feel like they look so big and unnatural.

Can you tell that they are veneers and do they look as unnatural and big as I think they do or am I just overreacting? What should my next move be if they do? I don’t have enough money to get veneers done again and I’m not in the same country I got them done in anymore

Appreciate any help or advice :)

Although Aesthetics is a matter of personal perspective, these do not appear unaesthetic to me at all. It is natural that lab manufactured veneers look and feel different than normal composite bonding. The thickness does help with the strength of the veneer. The thinner the veneer, the higher the chance of fracture when biting into something hard.

The naturalness of veneers varies depending on the quality of the veneers and the skill of the dentist who placed them. Well-done veneers can appear very natural, mimicking the look of real teeth in terms of color, shape, and translucency. However, poorly made or improperly fitted veneers can look unnatural, bulky, or discolored. Achieving a natural look with veneers often requires careful consideration of factors like tooth color, size, and shape to ensure they blend seamlessly with your existing teeth. Consulting with an experienced cosmetic dentist can help ensure that your veneers look as natural as possible.

It’s common to feel disappointed with veneers initially, especially if they look or feel different from what you expected. If they look unnatural or too big, it might be worth getting a second opinion from a local dentist to explore potential adjustments or refinements. Since you’re not in the same country, try finding a reputable local dentist who can assess your veneers and discuss possible solutions within your budget.
