Hello. I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed on Friday. It’s now Wednesday and I’m still in pain which they said would be normal since my bottoms were impacted. But I looked at the site and my gums are white around the area. Doesn’t look pussy or infection or anything but just white. Google said this might be new tissue coming in? Just wanna know if that’s correct. I have a lot of anxiety

Granulation tissue does sometimes appear yellow in colour and then gradually transitions to pink. If the pain is associated with a bad taste or smell, I would suggest going for a follow-up, since you might have a dry socket. If not, I would suggest just being a little more patient and allow the healing process to progress normally.

Some discomfort and changes in gum appearance are expected following wisdom tooth extraction especially with impacted teeth the white coloration you observe may indeed be indicative of normal healing processes such as fibrin clot formation or granulation tissue development.
