Confused about my infected wisdom tooth

Had throbbing pain for 2 days in my jaw going in to my ear went to dentist they told me I have infection in my wisdom tooth had x ray , been on antibodics for 1 day and the throbbing has gone but now the tooth which is 2 away from wisdom tooth is agony when touched or pressed but the wisdom tooth it self does not hurt, WHy is this is it refered pain or somthing else?

It could be referred pain, but it could be that the second molar is also carious or affected. Would need the x-ray to confirm this. Did you make an appointment to remove the wisdom tooth?
