More than six months ago my dentist prepared a tooth for a crown after many delays they're going to put a crown on the tooth in the next month or so. That tooth had a root canal done a few decades ago for the past six months there's been a temporary crown on the root canal opening should I be concerned about the integrity of the root canal?

Thanks

If the root canal gutta percha has not been exposed during the crown preparation, then there's nothing to worry about. If the GP has been exposed to oral fluids, then there is a small chance the canal may become reinfected.

Thanks for the informative reply.
The root canal was done about thirty years ago was gutta percha used then?
If the root canal was comprised or infected will that show on a x-ray before the crown is put on?
