I had my 6 month dental check-up yesterday. When I was looking at my mouth getting ready for it I noticed these inflamed looking bumps on the left side of my tongue. I do have smaller bumps on the right side of my tongue. Pictures of both sides attached below.
I pointed them out to my dentist and he believes they are nothing more than irritation due to foods or biting my tongue. He said he is not concerned as they are small, soft and do not bleed or hurt. He said that unless they grow or change color we can review them again at my next check-up. He did not suggest anything to reduce the irritation. I did just start regularly using a gun detoxifying toothpaste and I sometimes use chlorhexidine rinse.
Do you think I need second opinion?
Thank you!
