Bulky veneers affecting speech

I had veneers put on my teeth 20 years ago. They have always felt too thick for my mouth and affect F and V sounds. I would like to have them replaced. Could I get the ultra thin Lumineer veneers or are they designed to only be attached to teeth that haven’t been filed down?

You will have to remove the current veneers in order to evaluate the remaining tooth structure that is left. Usually ultra thin veneers are used for teeth that have not really been prepared. Just remember, the thinner the veneer, the weaker it can be. If your teeth have been filed down a lot, you can rather go with new veneers or even crowns and ask the dentist to design them to be less bulky. Discuss the current concern prior to the procedure.
