My LO broke a tooth playing at the park. Half was gone a dentin was placed and filling to just close the broken tooth not filling the other half yet just to see how the nerve behaves, a year later an infection exactly tooth gets an abscess over it and cray shows nerve died. What are the options by kiddo has at this point. The infection has been treated and inflammation still remains a bit before extraction day. What would be the option for an 11 year having lost a front tooth ( right one )
Suggestion were root canal or pulp until old enough for implant. I have an X-ray and wanted to have a second opinion if there is no other alternative than extraction. Thanks everyone.
Couldn’t attach X ray but will in separate thread title front tooth 101

I would also suggest a root canal treatment, until the child is at least 20 years old, and then consider an implant. This would be the best long term solution.
The only other option would be to extract the tooth and consider a partial upper denture, but this would need to be adjusted or replaced often, due to the child growing and maxilla changing shape.
