In the UK what is the scan I need to go for to find which nerve is damaged or what exactly is going on in that extraction site area?
MRI or Ct?
NHS waiting list Is ages and I've gone and got a credit card to do this as I cannot cope any longer despite carbamazepine x5 day and amitriptyline 2 x 10mg at night.
I cannot get through a single day without the jaw dragging aching pain and had enough.
which scan do I need to show what is happening?
thank you

Unfortunately is never a good thing to refer yourself. I can't comment on exactly what is needed, since we don't have a clinical picture of the extraction site.
It might be that a CT is indicated, if the pain is not nerve related and related to the surrounding tissues or adjacent bone or teeth.
If it is definitely only nerve related, then an MRI can be done.
This is why you would need to see the specialist first. There might be a chance that you need both. You don't want to spend money on the wrong imaging, especially if you are going to make debt.
