Are these lumps in my mouth normal?

I went to the dentist a few days ago because I had awful pain and thought I needed a wisdom tooth pulled. She didn't really inspect my mouth or all my teeth. She looked at the tooth I told her was bothering me for a minute, took an exray and asked if I wanted it to be removed. I said I guess so and got it removed. Half my jaw is swollen and i cant really open it very far. I haven't been able to since for about 3 or 4 days. Is this normal?
