Dentist has prescribed antibiotics for four consecutive weeks and has advised that an extraction is needed which has been scheduled for 20th March. This seems a long time to wait in pain?

4 weeks of antibiotics is also not the norm. Usually it is a course of 5 or 10 days. Antibiotics then stays in your system for 2 weeks, to a month. Did he prescribe you any painkillers?
