i’m getting my braces off next appointment but i am really upset about it because i feel like my bite is incorrect. i was in crossbite when i got braces on and i never got elastics to fix it. it has been corrected mostly by the wires but i feel like it still isn’t how it’s supposed to be and my midline’s don’t line up. i’m at an nhs orthodontist so they don’t care to give me an appointment to discuss things which is annoying because i want my braces off by the summer but not if im going to be unhappy with the results😪

When you did the initial consultation, did they talk about if it was necessary for surgery as well or not? A lot of times if you decide not go through with the surgical route, you end up with a compromised result due to them not being able to fix the bite perfectly.

I would insist on discussing these issues with the orthodontist, before removing your braces.
