Aligners vs metal braces

I am wondering why the proportion of kids getting aligners to fix teeth abnormalites is so low compared to hte conventional metal braces. Granted, aligners cost a little more but would like a dentist to explain why this is the case?

Hello Catherine,

Are you referring to the T4k or the removable aligners? These are just aligners to correct very minimal bite or alignment problems... Patients who are being asked to use these aligners would normally need the conventional metal braces, later on.
